We welcome applicants from across the physical sciences, including physics, chemistry, materials, and engineering. You should have, or expect to achieve, a First or Upper Second (2:1) UK undergraduate degree (or international equivalent) and at least 4 years of training in a relevant subject (such as a 4 year degree or a 3 year degree plus 1 year of relevant work experience). Evidence of some research experience is highly desirable (this includes extended undergraduate projects).
You must be enthusiastic and looking for a challenging, interdisciplinary research training environment.

Programme overview
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in 2D Materials of Tomorrow (2DMoT) researches the science and applications of two-dimensional materials, a new class of advanced materials with the potential to transform technologies from clean energy to quantum engineering.
As a postgraduate researcher on this CDT, led by Professor Irina Grigorieva, you'll train alongside researchers from Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and the University of Cambridge, across a four-year programme combining taught training with a doctoral research project.
